I hope members will read through this posting in order to get an idea of the behaviour, courtesies, and rules that administration -- sand most of the active membership -- at the PSG Forum would like to see. This happens most often with new members who don't understand the rules or the purpose of the forum. This happens when people jump into the fray without reading through FAQs, stickies, and other discussions which might lead them in the right direction and demonstrate how we "roll."
As we have said many times before, PSG is a discussion, support, and sharing platform for Photoshop enthusiasts, at any and every level who would like to participate.
We expect those who post tutorials to actively participate, not just spam threads, some 3 or more years old. We hope that new members who post their images without asking for critiques, comment, advice, etc., will remain and take part in the discussion, offering advice and comment where they are qualified or interested.
We have some members who are sadly drawn to the forum only for its freelance opportunity, however limited our clients may be. It is offensive to me and many others that they make absolutely no contribution in any other way to our members. I am not talking about all our regular freelancers as many of you actively support and help the general membership. Thank you for that. Thank you everyone who gives generously of their time and knowledge to offer advice, tutorials, etc. I only wish the forum had the resources to thank you monetarily.
But, in fact, we do it out of love for Photoshop and our personal sense of satisfaction; many of us have that teacher gene somewhere! I am grateful for your incredible support of those who need step by step instruction, for your creative advice, for the time you spend playing with PS to see how a particular effect might be achieved, by sharing your fantastic manipulations, photography, designs, and general "play." We are a good source for anyone who wants to use any or all of the above mentioned. (don't jump me if I left any mode out!)
You guys have earned my admiration. I hope you find gratification and keep coming back for years. We love you (And that isn't just the "Royal We.")
