Matching a photo to movie poster style

I am photoshopping a friend's face on to this Godfather poster for a party, and could use some help determining how to process the photo of my friend's face to match the style of the poster. I've been experimenting with different textures and color techniques in photoshop, but I just can't seem to get it quite right. Any ideas are appreciated, thank you so much!

Posting your friends face would help us better to help you.
Welcome to the site.

If you know PS, (if you want to keep the hair in poster) select , drag, resize and position your friends face to match the Don's face position in the poster. Use levels or brightness/contrast to blend in the face and erse unneeded areas. Probably use the paintbrush in spray mode on a separate top layer to recreate the shadows in eyes, under chin and right side of face.

Put his head on the poster image put it in luminosity mode,if your lucky shadows will line up if not put a blank layer between and use color brush to match areas that seem to clash, add the touch up paint to blank layer between the two.
