MARQUEE Tool Swap - Rectangle / Elipse (Photoshop Elements)

I use elements and CS4 Extended.


On photoshop elements...

When you press 'M' for the marquee tool multiple times, it swaps between 'Rectangle' and 'elipse'

Any ideas how to disable this??


It is driving me bonkers..

Ctrl+K opens General preferences
Check the box that says "Use Shift Key for Tool Switch"
This should work in CS4 and Elements

From now on you need to hold down the Shift key and the tool key to toggle between the tools.

The OP may have uncheck the box by mistake.

Wow, many thanks, I'll give it a shot.
Yeah it's on a mac but the jargon all means the same anyway.
First thing you do when you get a mac is to ditch the mouse and get one with two buttons.
