Photo manipulation was around far before Adobe Photoshop came to market in the late 1980's.
In an upcoming exhibit at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, about 200 photo manipulations of the 1840s through 1990s will go on display.
Some of these are really good, also keep in mind that they were created 100 years ago with no computers!!!
