Making text out of an object

I am trying to learn how to write or design text letters using images for instance I want to know how i would write photoshop using noodles or electricity wires.

If this is possible I appreciate all the help

simplest way

Create new Text layer

open image as the layer above text layer

right click image layer in layers panel and select create clipping mask.

Now that image will only be visible where the text is.

but if i wanted to make one long strand of noodle for each letter would this work or would it just look like a lot of pieces of noodle

You can try and see if it works. Use the pen tool to create your noodle and use bevel to make it look more realistic.

thanks hoogle ill give them texts a try they look like good place to start if not i will try RTContents way but think the pen tool is one thing I have not learned
