hmmm you''re right Sam, I didn't pay attention. So here is what I did to fix it.

1. copy org layer:

2. remove the white bg

3. paint over with black brush set to "color" blend mode

4. I refine the edge mask

5. add dark curves adjust layer replace the mask with the refine edge one

6. add a adjust layer set to multiply blend mode - did the same with the mask as the step above

7. and a  trick that I learn from a hair repair tut:

make a selection of the object, add new layer, pick a darker color from the object and fill the selection on the new, then run an inverted layer mask and with soft brush paint with white till you got satisfied :) In such way will bring solid color to the individual hairs on the edge. If you want to be more precise with your work you can match the light :) deepens on what and for who you're doing this.

My honest opinion is that this method is more time consuming, and if this photo is for a web store, sometimes spending to much time on a photo like this when you have to do 200 more, don't think that it's deserves such a detail work.

What is our favorite program/app? (Hint - it begins and ends with the letter P)
