Making a "stamped metal text" navigation bar

Hi everyone
I wanted to make some title bars and possibly a navigation bar with the kind of look that I have attatched. Most tutorials have more a clean, beveled look that I am not crazy about. Any help would be so appreciated!! Thanks so much!!

that could easily be achieved by just using bevel and emboss then grab the burn tool to dirty it up a bit. for extra effect get a scratched metal texture and clip it to text layer and and play with blending modes
