make see through block text

Hey guys. I need help on how to make a see through block text like this.

I want to make another cover for this album because it is getting sort of boring. I was just going to crop the whole text thing and position on another photo but then i realized the text had the background of the photo in it. Like inside the letters. How do i make something like this so i can make it on the new photo and have the new photo be in the text too like this one

2 main ways duplicate the image and place the duplicate above the text layer which will be above the banner white and yellow in this case then right click the duplicate layer in layers panel and select create clipping mask.

2Nd option is right click the text tool button and select mask text tool that will erase the banner with whatever you type.
 
Thanks for the reply! But i am sort of confused. But when you say image i dont know if youre talking about the image i posted above, or the new image i want to place the text on.
