And just how did you do that then Gaussian?

would it have been select all the black, then convert selection to path, and then export paths to Illustrator by chance?

That would be one way to do it, however I cheated and used a program called Vector Magic... I have the desktop version and it can make quick work of simple images like this one.

Hehe cheeky. I tried it out. Doesn't give 100% perfect results on a non-monotone / solid image. But does a lot of work.
