Hello everyone,

I want to put a counter on my site, to keep track of foot traffic and I was curious can I download ones and use them on my site or am I going to have to make one? I would actually like to make one looking something like this...

A little differnt to work for my purpose, but does any one know how I would go about making a counter or am I better or using one that someone has already made? If so where can I find some?

Thanks
Keith

Do a search on Google for php cgi counter digital and you will find premade scripts. The kicker, your provider needs to allow CGI.

You'll need to utilize some form of server-side scripting language, be it Perl (CGI), PHP, ASP or CF .... take your pick, really. Perl and PHP are free and available on virtually all paid hosts and many free ones.

You'll finid all kinds of pre-made counters in a variety of languages at www.hotscripts.com - also, basic counters are simple to make and would be a good practice exercise if you're interested in learning one of those languages.

If you get a pre-made counter, then you can probably just replace the default images with your own, assuming, of course, you download one that uses images/modify the existing code so that it does use images.
