Hello, everybody. I am a first-time poster here and a bit of a novice with all things Photoshop, so I am not sure if this is a tall order or not. I am doing a presentation about the life of 1940s singer Hildegarde, who is on the cover of this magazine. I wanted this photograph to be on the poster advertising my presentation without the text. After scanning this cover as a .TIFF file, however, it seems the scan was made very dark, and the imperfections of the old magazine are showing prominently along the spine. My request is:
1. Could you eliminate the text,
2. Remove the imperfections of age/white spots throughout the photograph,
3. Lighten the scan to the right exposure,
4. Remove the box that says "Tune In" so the black background up there blends in with the rest of the photo, and
5. Maintain the high resolution of the image so it can enlarge to a 24x30 poster.
Thank you, gurus!
