Hey there.

I am writing on behalf of a future gaming (eSports) organisation named Revamped Gaming. We are looking to set up a website etc in the next couple of months, but before we do that we wish to get some graphics made for us ready and for various things. For people who don't know much about gaming, it is a huge 'industry' (if you like) now where people are sponsoring people to basically play their favorites gaming for a living. Although I am a long way off sponsoring people to that level, that is the eventual plan. We're looking to start off with one team with the potential to go professional (starting with League of Legends) to get the ball rolling.

I am looking for a designer who is open to conversation and willing to help me. I want a designer who isn't doing it for the money (however I understand it takes time and a talent I do not possess by any means) so I would like to look into rewarding you when possible. It would be more like you're taking on a project out of your own time (like I am doing, however it's going to cost me money) and getting involved in something. When our site is up and running, if you wish to continue helping the organisation you will be listed on our website as our Graphics Designer with contact information so other people can contact you. I will look into rewarding you for your time as I do think good work deserves rewards. However as I've said I don't want someone who is purely looking for reward (I understand a lot of people will read this and think 'forget that then' and that's understanble and fine). I want someone who wants to be involved in a potentially big project (a lot of hard work/dedication with a hint of luck).

The things we need designed are as followed:
- A simple (but sophisticated) image to act as a logo so people can recognise our gaming teams without reading the name.
- A picture of the logo with writing with a suitable font to match the logo (just for future use)
- A cover photo for a facebook page with the logo etc on (I can find out exact dimensions if needed)
- YouTube channel designs
- This one is slightly trickier, an overlay image for streaming. I can show an example for people who don't understand that.

We have no idea or preference as to what we want the logo to look like really, but we do not want it with something that is linked to anything if that makes any sense. We don't want our logo to have a 'gun' for example which can be linked to maybe 'call of duty' or anything of the kind as that is not what our organisation is based around purely. Again, I can show examples of other logo's of organisations which can give you a better idea. So you basically have complete freedom as long as you're creative. If someone doesn't want to be involved with the organisation (so to speak) and only wishes to create work for one of the things listed above. The logo would be the best one (and the least work I imagine?) as it stems into the others and will be needed.

I dont get what your bringing to the gaming Industry so I will ask a few questions for me to decide personally if it is worth getting involved with with a gaming background and still cureently running successfull servers with a dedicated social network site for gamers that behaves just like facebook.

Ok first off what is it exactly that you are offering
(game development, Hosting, Hosted Tournaments, dedicated servers, shared Hosting, a meet up place for people to connect to each other on ps or xbox) Please be more specific

Depending on your answer what resources do you have at your disposal
ie dedicated server for hosting games (what kind of spec) forum based community like enjin and hupit gaming etc.

What connections do you have ??

What makes you different to any of the other companies out there.

What is your expected source of income from this
are you advertising it or getting sponsorship pay to play kind of thing

I dont want to sound rude but what age group are you in and what age group is your target audience.

What kind of website will it be
interactive publicly ie wordpress or forum based people register or is it just info, videos and live streaming

Is this a hobby or intended Business
 
Offering: Support for top teams on various games. As in, taking top rated players (on League of Legends to start as that is the game I'm personally very familiar with). Me and a friend look into putting money into helping them. Slowly but surely, as me and a friend are putting our money into a 'gaming team', we need to know the players can actually progress to the top level where there is a lot of money to be made.

Resources: Other than money, which will not be thrown at them instantly for everything. I have contacts with top teams on League of Legends to arrange scrims (matches) for the team we pick up to ensure they're playing the best teams constantly and improving. I have been in contact with businesses such as the Alienware and razer (companies based on gaming equipment) who are willing to sponsor equipment after the team has 'achieved' in tournaments. I won't write much about that as that will be irrelevant to you, unless you want to learn about it.

What makes us different to any other people setting up a gaming organisation? Tricky one. Truth is, we're just people who know a lot about the League of Legends background to start, and know what it takes to make it work as long as we're dedicated which we are.

Income will be through various things, but will take time as the organisations team will need to get recognised. But League of Legends is the biggest online gaming in the world at the moment, with regular LAN tournaments (which our team is aiming to go to) and the World Championship of it offering millions of dollars to 1st place. So there is a LOT of money to be made in the gaming industry to teams/players. Without getting to number 1 you can still make a lot of money via fan bases, which top teams gain naturally as so many people 'follow the scene'.

The idea of the organisation comes from me (I'm 19) and a good friend who is 25. Some close friends who are also 19 are on about putting money towards it to get it started.

When we move towards the website (facebook page/youtube channel etc is the priority for sorting), it will be an information page about the organisation, the teams, media pages for the 'live streams' of members of our teams etc. I would show an example but I can't post links yet.

It is an idea (kind of like a hobby) that requires money and time which will hopefully provide a profit in the future. We're all working so it's money we earn from our jobs going towards it, but we see it as a chance to 'break it lucky' so to say by taking a chance with some money and hope we can make it work out. It's a more interesting way for us to invest money than say stocks and shares where we have no control over it (even if it's safer).

I probably missed out some information you wanted, or added too much irrelevant information. Either way, thanks for your reply and let me know if I did miss anything etc.
 
Ok I am misreading what you want obviously as to me it sounds like your a gaming clan and you just want a team logo and help develop your team everything else is either free to do or very cheap only cost is website hosting.
 
Also it's not cheap. We're looking into providing funding eventually to pay for our team (I am not a part of the 'team', just management) to go to LAN tournaments across the globe. But to get everything started we need to get these designs made.

By biggest, I mean the most money and actively online every day and by fact, LoL is now that game. It has over taken games such as WoW. :)

i'm in the process of doing a little experimental piece now, hopefully you'll like it as a piece of work in itself i'll get a proper logo down tomorrow ;)

hmm, that's a bit of inspiration right there.

This is a general piece just to see if you like the idea the colours, as said a proper logo will be done, which will follow "da rules" because glow effects don't normally bode well.

'scuse my ignorance, what platform are you based on, or are you multi-platform?

The other 'management' are really looking for a picture (like the examples shown) that can represent the organisation.

However the RVG combined is a great idea and can be used for other stuff I am sure. Also, I preferred the backwards R and glowing empty writing ;)

I understand creating an image to represent something is hard, it takes a creativity I don't have. Or I'd give you an idea at to what it could look like. :)
