I did this for our local High School Booster Club. They have currently had license plates, car flags, and are getting T-shirts made with this on it. As you can probably figure out we are Indians and the O represents our town of Oswego.

nice, basic shape an image, just two colors used.
i like it.
what i don't like is just the beveling and the drop shadow that takes away clearness of the thin lines, but it's the matter of taste.

I know exactly what you are saying ibis. I took all the beveling and the drop shadows out for the stuff that we had printed that stuff just doesn't look good on t-shirts, Flags, and license plates. I will post that one later when I am back on my computer.

having a clean design without soft edges and color gradients that are required to make bevels is an asset if you want to make printouts on such a various materials, some of them like textile are not that print friendly as you have noticed.

here is the one that went to printer.

I just got back from the place printing the t-shirts and they think it should look like the second attachment. Why am I having so much trouble with the jagged edges on it?

I did do this in photoshop and I like your image but if you take a closer look at my second image they wanted the face to be white not just the outline. and the inside of the feathers to be red not the outline. I did use the wand selection tool. I have tried the refine edge but have had little luck cleaning up the edges. The image I used is small 250 x 242 pixels with a resolution of 182.88

than if you want to use it for any serious large printing you need to redo it based on a lot bigger stock image.
250 x 242 pixels is nothing good.

Thanks for your input and advice. I am now curious to learn more about the refine edge tool. (I do understand that it will not help me in this situation) I will talk to school and see if they have a larger image.

Thanks again.

I like the design but my personal preference would be to take the O and make it just a letter. The big black O is overwhelming to me and covers a lot of the pretty Indian head....just my 2 cents worth :-)
