Hello,

I am building new penny bid site and I have to design a new logo. However i don't have absolutely NO idea what kind of logo to design... it is really frustrating to have no ideas...:banghead:
Site name will be Euro Bid, domain will be euro-bid.com.
If anyone comes up with ANY idea, I will be very grateful.

Hi! I'd be happy to help you toss around some ideas. What thoughts have you had so far? Do you have any colors in mind? The most obvious would be to use the Euro symbol for the E and just play around with some cool fonts and colors. Love your emoticon, btw. :) Heather

I don't have no idea about colors. All I know that logo must be catchy and fun. :P
I'm fond of red and black, but European union have blue and yellow in the flag...

I was thinking to use € symbol and add bid... As you wrote. :)
Then I was thinking to add euro stars around text...
Then i was thinking to use text only...
And now I'm totaly lost. :S

Try googling some business card sights, many of them have 100s of logos to choose from. Find one you like and try to make one similar to that using photoshop. Good luck.
 
Hey Boris! I always do one quick layout of each to see them side by side, then it's usually way easier to narrow them down. I either pick one to build on or I combine different elements from each and go from there. I'm wrapping up a magazine and a few other projects this week, but I'd be happy to throw some ideas together for you when I get caught up! I suggest you use the same color theme as your website theme. Also, the Euro design for the E would be excellent. It would also look good I'm guessing with a drop shadow, and a different emboss as $1r_M4x1mu$ But his does look good. If you throw the stars in there. I believe they should be more random, put them in different spots, or make then follow a trail circling the words. These are just a few ideas I believe would look good.

Hello all... Been little busy these days.

@$1r_M4x1mu$: thanx for your idea, but is now quite what I had in mind. I thing that it has to be "chubby" and "naugty"... It must me like 140x90 pix... no bigger that this. still working on it. :P
 
Those tips are quite useful as I am using them now. I am pretty much satisfied by what I am getting the results after it.

I think playing around a euro sign is sort of an obvious idea, but don't you think it's too banal? I mean it won't make a logo original, though I agree it will make it catchy. If I had to design this, I'd try to find some solid graphic solution, something that would make a logo look trustworthy. To get inspired this way, try looking at some bank logos, for example. They are modest, yet looking valuable and influential. Besides, maybe it's not quite legal to use the official EU sign of golden stars in your logo. I'm not sure, but maybe it's not too good an idea.
