Lightroom External Editing Preferences

I watched a video from SLR Lounge that recommended setting Lightroom's external editing settings as the following: PSD for the file format because it's a smaller file size than TIFF, sRGB color space because most print shops use this color space, 8 bit depth to keep the file size small and apparently the naked eye can't see the difference between 8 and 16 bit, and 300 for the resolutionl. I wanted to know what you guys thought about these Lightroom external editing settings for when editing in Photoshop. Most of my pics will be edited for web but I also plan on sending my pics to Costco for print. Should I use these settings or is there somethings else that would be better?

I agree with the settings unless of course you are printing billboards.

8 bit all photoshop filters work 16 bit you start to get severely locked down on what filters you can use.

as said above any form of printing or human eye wont detect the difference between any of the settings

as for Costco printing I am not sure they will accept psds lot of printing companies now request pdf or jpg/png

But if you are editing tehm a lot then maybe keep a psd incase you want to edit it again in the future as for the web side I would stick to png

The PSD file isn't the file that I upload to the web and use for print. After I edit the PSD in Photoshop I export it with Lightroom and my export settings automatically convert it to sRGB when exporting for web and/or print. So since I'm exporting in sRGB would it be better to edit in Pro Photo RGB at a 16 bit depth when editing in Photoshop?
