Is this what you were looking for? Made the shadows on the left side a bit lighter.

No trying to eliminate lighting diff on face. the nose and forehead. Maybe lighten the rest to match or maybe middle to blend

Here is an attempt. Let us know if any further changes are required. The brightness is difficult to remove entirely - otherwise, it would end up looking fake.

Removing hard light it's almost impossible without looking weird at the end... Instead a tried to changed to soft, weird too, but less XD..
