Hello,
I am brand new on this forum.
I got a problem with my CS6 (running on W7) as I the Lighting effects filter is unavailable in the render menu (grey color). According to my knowledge, this filter is only working for pictures RGB 8 bits . But even if the picture I want to modify has this characteristics, the filter stays grey.
Do others constraints exist for the use of that filter ?
I thank you for your comments and answers.

You need to have 'Use Graphics Processor' under 'Performance' in the Preferences turned ON in order to use Lighting Effects...

If this is disabled try to enable it....if it will not enable then your system is not capable of using the GPU for processing.

There isn't much you can do about that if this is the case.

Regards.
