Hello all. I am looking to have the handwriting from this recipe separated from the image background and stock handwriting. This is a recipe that her grandmother has been making for her father for almost 60 years, and my wife is trying to get it laser engraved and memorialized as a gift for her father. If possible, I would like to combine the images into one, with them being side by side on a white background. Thank you!

Hi @etaldred

It will be important to know what file format type that the laser engraver expects.
If the engraving needs to be in vector format that is a bit tougher.
If it needs to be in raster format that will be easier.
Also, does the laser engraver want grayscale or bitmap (some can use grayscale to engrave including depth and others just want bitmap to burn a spot or not)

If this does not make sense, just ask for the specific details from the engraver and include it in a response post.
These details may save a lot of time not going down the wrong path.

Hi @etaldred
OK here is my shot at side by side recipes with the wording and misc dirt and discoloration.
Note the image below is a smaller sample for viewing yet not for using to send to your vendor.
The full resolution image is in PNG format and save as a zip file. You can download it and uncompress and send that file to the engraver. The full file was over the limits for the forum for viewing.
