Hell guys,

What is the best resource that a web designer can use and learn photoshop in 1 week. This is to use for web graphics. Thanks for the inputs.

My, My, you don't want much. Well you can google PS Basics but don't expect to know much at the end of a week, even if you do spend 12 hours a day. Nevertheless, you can gin some basic knowledge and that should be a good start. I suppose if you want really rudimentary web designs, you might be OK. So, like iDad said, good luck. And I don't mean that sarcastically. But you have a large bite to chew there young one.

This question is good because I also want to learn photoshop in less than a week. Well, I have some limited ideas about it but I was not interested before but now I need to learn it. LOL. So help me God. :)

not a hope mate , dont kid yourself , in saying that you can learn enough to get you going in a week , get as many videos mainly on making a selection , layers and masking and adjustments , start with a video of the basics though it will get you started , ive been using it for around three weeks and im on my way( but a lot to learn still ) im more comfortable around my tools , in saying that i have watched a lot of videos and i mean a lot , tip when you look at a video rename it to what makes sense for you EG removing a backround ( this might just be a sub video of folder called selections) , i then put the videos that are really helpful like the removing a backround and copy them to a folder named good tips , this way when you want to remove a backround and are struggling you can replay the video easily if your stuck.

If you want to learn Photoshop just for specific edits for yourself, Start by a basis tut video explaining basic tools.. followed by tut videos of the edits you want to proceed with. This is the only way you could achieve the results..

But seriously mate, if you want to learn Ps to its core - let me tell you, some of us have been working on Ps for years now and even then we come across new things some day or the other. Spend time watching tut videos and get basic knowledge, but your best option is to practice, more practice and most importantly - A Lot more practice.

LOL. So help me God. :)

I'm sure we'll all pray for you! Follow the advice in the next couple posts and you'll start making some progress. Best of luck, work hard, and stay with us on the forum. Participate in the challenges and look up some of those from last year. They will be very instructive, not to mention fun. We may revive some of the old challenges for our newer members. Never get enough practice or memory kick out of techniques we've tried awhile ago!
