LCD Digital Color Settings?

Hi:

I have a LCD Viewsonic VP191b plugged in to an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro utilizing the digital connection.

The monitor looks like its has a slight yellow tint. I am under the impression because it's digital I don't need to configure color settings. Is this true? I do have the "color profile" setting in the ATI utillity set to VP191b.

Should I try to calibrate the monitor or just leave it alone because it is digital?

Thanks,
GreyGoat

All monitors need calibration.
Best is to start from the profile of the monitor, then get good lighting conditions in the room (no reflections in the monitor etc) and then run Adobe Gamma.
Save as your own profile with a date, and do this every month at least one time.

Oh...and wait untill the monitor is at full force (appr. one hour "on")
