Does anyone know hold to create one merged layer from all my other layers, but still having them available underneath the merged layer?

sounds confusing i know, but i don't know how to word it! =S

one way is to merge all, take picture(copy all) then back up command Z on mac. or command option z for numerous backups afer taking picture of all merged, backup then paste the new layer (picture)
 
It's much easier than that.

In old Photoshops create new layer, hold Alt and Megre Visible.

In recent Photoshops just Shift+Control+Alt+E.
