I apologize if this isn't the right area to post this questions. I'm not sure what I want to do is even possible or what it would be called to do a search on it. I'm going to give the specifics of exactly what I'm working with and hopefully someone will be able to tell me if there's a shortcut for this task.
I design children's clothing and have an image that is a single layer with approximately 20 pieces of a collection on that layer. I would like to take those 20 pieces of clothing and put them all on individual layers. I can click on the transparent background and then inverse the selection and have my 20 individual pieces selected. Is there a photoshop action or shortcut that will then take those 20 selections and automate creating a new layer for each one?
I find myself needing to do this a lot and have resorted to cutting and pasting each piece individually. I think there has to be a better way.
I'll be forever grateful if someone could tell me how to do this. (or even if you tell me that there is no way to do it....although that will make me sad. LOL)
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
