Hi,

VERY new to Photoshop and really need some help. I have a background layer that has rounded edges and I need to be able to drop other images in and have the rounded edges show. Ive attached the template below and would be very grateful for any assistance.

View attachment template.psd

Manager images within that black rectangle and then shut off the white background by clicking on the eyeball next to it, save it as a PNG or Gif

Sorry but im WAY new,, how can I place an image there? Do I open the image I want a cut/paste it some how?

open the new image in Photoshop drag it over to the other image and drop it or copy and paste onto the first image if you areNot sure it's probably going to need some transformations needed size wise can get real crazy but it's a simple procedure if you know what you're doing

There inlys the problem. I dont know what Im doing. No images are not the same size however the template PSD is the standard size. Somehow I need to drag/cut/paste an image into the template psd so the rounded edges work. Thanks!!

man you make it look easy! going to try this now, THANKS!

select the size you want then inverse your selection and delete you will lose what is outside the selectiion
or transform to right size to accommodate template size leaving the outer corners blank (png or gif)

In addition to what dv8_fx posted, here's what your layers panel would look like,
