Hi All, I want to create an eyelid over an eye, eg a semi circle over a circle. How best to do it? I thought it might be a layer mask? anyone know a decent newb tutorial if so.

Hi hammerzzz and welcome to PSG.

All you need is a new layer above the eye layer.

Hi Sam and thanks for the welcome. I get it! should of thought of that, create a circle same size and delete half or overlay another circle and delete so I have a curve for the eyelid.

Remember, eyelids are larger than the eye itself, so you will need a larger and less curved semi-circle for the lid.

Like this....

This is not anatomical, just a quick example!

Hi Hammer, like Sam said, welcome.

It sounds like you will want to learn about masks. Let's keep that open. Plenty of tuts on the web, but some are much better than others. Let's see what our members recommend for you. You will find masks indespensible as you continue to work in Photoshop, so take your time and learn and practice. You will soon see how valauble they are.
