Hello Everyone, First post for a relative newcomer to the bemusing world of Photoshop. My querie is this:-
An A4 Aiptek tablet is roughly the same price as an A6 Wacom. Which is the best bet. I speak as someone who had bought an Aiptek based tablet that did not work.
Thanks

Welcome. 8))

Quality wise nothing beats a Wacom and that's not just me saying this, it's pretty much everyone elses opinion.

I've asked that question a number of times over the years and the answer I keep coming back to is that Wacom rules the tablet world. They're simply a much better built tablet, higher quality in every way.

Something to consider is that Wacom makes several levels of tablets. You might consider a bigger Wacom graphire as opposed to an Aiptek of the same size and the price would be much less than say an Intuous3. A low end Wacom is still often better than the best the off brand can come up with.

Also, one of the most frequent complains I hear from people when they buy their first tablet is that they think bigger is better... then they realize that in order to use it you have to move your hand all over the whole surface of the tablet and wish they'd bought a slightly smaller one. Unless you're a digital painter that needs the extra room on a regular basis, everyone I know that does this professionally has agreed that the 6x8 or 6x11 tablets are about the best overall size although. Seems that's the size range you're looking in, just don't get sucked into looking at the 9x12 and 12x12 boards that off brand companies come out with and think that they're better just because they're bigger and cheaper.
