pencil, scanned and mirrored in PS.

No real Photoshopping, so I posted it here.

Enjoy.

Gaaaah! :(| I want to know where you buy your pencils?

Brilliant as usual Erik. :}

How long did that take you?

Al.

FAR OUT!!!

Eric,

You are nothing short of a phenomenal artist. :righton: If I lived in New York I'd even go to your shows. ;)

This is obviously some new definition of the word pencil... as I've never had a pecil do something like that before.

Very nice. Funny, I randomly was leafing through a book I have on medieval art work and carvings. Really reminiscent of that type of stuff. Very nice piece.

So where's the tut?? *laugh* j/k ;) :D

B7 A-maze-ing what can be created with a "low-tech" pencil and the most "hi-tech" creation of all --- the imagination of the mind.
Thanks for sharing, this is most enjoyable journeying within, Erik!

Nice Erik I like that, very soft yet detailed. :righton: :righton: :righton:

You know Erik that just reminded me of a thing that happened a few years back.

The company I worked for were about to enter the computer age, however the bean counters in power had an expression.

" If you have a pencil and an eraser you are technologically advanced enough"

You just proved them right my friend :bustagut: :bustagut: [shhh]

Thanks all of ya!

But don't forget that the drawing is the right half of what you see, and the left side is Photoshop-mirrored.

The pencil is a techical pencill (.3mm, no sharpening needed), mostly an "HB", and a bit of "4H" for general tinting on satin grain watercolour paper. As for the time...some 150-200 hours, I can't say exactly...when you do what you love doing, time is unimportant, even non-existing...
Like I always say (one of Saturn's big lessons): "If you don't work against time, time often works for you.

As for Medieval atmosphere: yes, end of Gothic, beginning of Renaissance is what I like most. I've even tried with a silverpoint like used in those days, but I prefer the graphite pencil of today.

One of my dreams is do something like this in Photoshop. But then I take a sheet of paper to make a quick sketch, and...there we go again... Yet it must be possible in Photoshop.

Thanks again!

nice Erik oh and photoshop sections looks good too :D

so now we have to have the pencil and the paper! ahhhhh that is what I have been doing wrong! the paper! fogot to use the paper :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut:
