Hi,
I'm trying to key out greenscreen from photos I shot on a tv commercial shoot where the actor was on greenscreen.
I found this great step by step guide which I though was easier than some of the other techniques I found on the web:
Keying Out Backgrounds and Greenscreens in Photoshop - Life is a Prayer.com
Everything worked great except my 'Invert' from step 3 in the guide did the opposite, the green area was black, not white. I assume this doesn't matter but is weird nonetheless.
Everything went fine until I got to step 10: "You will find that the edges of your object/person may have a slight 'halo' around them. Clean up the edges by choosing 'Layer>Matting>Remove White Matte' or by choosing 'Layer>Matting>Defringe...'; usually 1-3 pixels will do the trick."
Matting in my Layer menu was grayed out, thus I couldn't clean up the green halo. I messed around with my layers, deleted the project and started all over, but to no avail.
Any ideas?
I'm running Mac OS 10.5.2 on an older Powerbook G4
Thanks
-CK
