Illustrator Keyboard shortcut. Select one layer!

Hi folks,

I have many objects on my board.

Nothing is selected.

At this point, I want to select ANY object. Any one.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to select an object, a layer, anything from the point where nothing is selected yet?

The reason why is because the keyboard shortcut to "Select Next Layer Above", or "Select next layer below" would be the next keyboard shortcut to use. But I can't use them without selecting an object first.

Yes, I know I can use the mouse. But I love keyboard shortcuts.

ctl/cmd click on the object and it will select the layer/object. So it isn't exactly a keyboard shortcut, 50% though.

I'm beginning to see that ILLY comes up far shorter than Photoshop for shortcuts. Too bad, there are huge gaps where a shortcut would make things so much easier. Thanks for your help though! : ) OFC.

If you could figure out a way to make the arrows (coordinates, or directional) move the cursor and click enter when the cursor is where you want it located, that may work
