meh, I felt like having a mess around, see if a combination of filters created anything noteworthy.

got this in the end.

Uses Glowing edges, High Pass and Oil Paint.

I do remember having a trial version of that plugin at one point, fairly decent, but now that the oil paint filter is native in photoshop, it's easily imitated

this actually looks awesome, the glowing edges make it have a fiery/ember look. i love it.
