Just Another "Doodle"

Yup, still doodling. I can't seem to quite find my way out of my artistic slump, so I have been busy with doodling around with lighting, colors and home brewed textures to see what effects I can create.

I call this piece...wait for it...Descent. Hmm. Not sure if it looks as good on the web as it does on my desktop.

Looks great! A nice abstract depiction of the fiery descent to Hades. Seems to be a theme at the moment!

I believe your still a bit confused about the definition of a doodle.

Doodle - To scribble aimlessly, especially when preoccupied; to draw something aimlessly or absent-mindedly, usually while doing something else such as having a telephone conversation or attending a meeting.

What you have here is very well thought out, designed with intent, and purposefully executed with multiple and organized steps and procedures. There's nothing aimless or mindless about this.

I guess what I mean to imply is that it was not an image I planned out. For my usual work, I have a specific vision of what the finished product should be. Not so in this case. So yeah, I am sort of playing on the term and not being literal.
