Jpeg not previewing??

Hi guys I have a problem saving jpeg files in photoshop atm, I have never had this problem before untill the other day and it's driving me nuts :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I've been trying to save a JPEG file back into the folder it came from and when I do it just has a blank paper looking thing saying no preview available, right click hit open and it makes me choose a program to open it like (windows live gallery or photoshop or something.......

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AND WHY HAS THIS JUST STARTED ALL OF A SUDDEN I HAVE THOUSANDS OF OTHER FILES SAVED AND NEVER A PROBLEM!!!:mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:


PLEASE HELP!!!

go to control panel , programs , make a file open from a specific program , choose whatever one you want to view it with and you should be right

Thanks will this have to be done every time? I really hope not

I can get it to open with any of the programs to veiw it, Though I'm worried about when I copy it to a disc it will not be there??

It will save photoshop format fine even cropped jpeg's just not ones I've retouched GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

mmmmmm are saving as jpeg not psd ? sounds to me your not saving as jpeg

I have saved a psd and also want to save a jpeg the psd saved fine the jpeg doesn't it always ask me no matter what I do which program would I like to open it with..... as I said I have never had this problem before and have lots and lots of jpeg's saved from photoshop (jpeg not psd)

ok next step try restoring your computer back to before this started you may get lucky that way

Thought of that but then I'll have alot of work to do again I think not 100% sure.

If the image is in multichannel mode it will not save as a jpg........ Just a thought

I think I have worked it out I was putting writing after the jpeg (eg.000123.jpg blah blah) and I was told this won't get recognised as jpeg not sure have checked.... But what is multichannel mode any way just so I can check that?

all sorted was the problem of writing after jpeg massive BRAIN FADE!!!
