IMHO, tone down / mute the background ,and the subjects will stand out better, giving a much more impressive, eye-catching overall effect.

I agree more of the same really, why not try a new approach using the style you obviously like so much but put your twist to it.
This is my approach, bit rough on the masking but just to show you really.

Thanks for the tips guys. Truthfully, I was going for that over-abstracted look to begin with for this one. I have always liked that style.
