Has anyone made a really good Joker tutorial (from dark night). Ive seen a few meh ones and some that are video that are way to fast.
 
shouldnt be too difficult. Before I got photoshop I used gimp and made a pretty good one with Al Gore and wrote "Why So Cereal" in blood (south park joke) its just a matter of using the quick select tool and changing the hue at least thats what I did anyway.
 
Here is what I did with Al Gore. I made a new layer with his face and made it grey then took the brightness up a bit to make it white then I painted around his eyes with black and then I painted his mouth with red and used the liquify effect on the edges to give him the smile. Then I made his hair a new layer and turned the huue to green and then made his suit a new layer and turned the hue to purple. Not the best Joker out there but for a few minutes work it serves its purpose pretty well.

I dont know what you have done around the face to get the artifacts maybe over saturated it but try reducing opacity on your facepaint so it is not so obviously painted in.

I dd a tutorial a while back on face painting as per request from someone on this site, I dont even think it was spoken as it was so simple but the idea is pretty much the same probably still on here or 1 of my youtube channels. but the basic principal is

create an exposure adjustment layer and pretty much over expose the image but paint in black everywhere but the face making sure you also paint out the eyes and lips

create a new layer and paint in white over the face and set the layer blending mode to colour and adjust the opacity (try using a straky shaped brush for best results

create a new layer and paint in red for the lips and the blood smile and reduce opacity

same for darkening the eyes for panda eyes

and then the same again for the hair. etc

Yeah, this was when the Joker was demolished and they found a few leftover parts, assembled them into a new body, and made him into a new kind of monster. Named him Jombie. I deleted it here and moved it over to the vampire thread. Where it was supposed to be?
