Is Video Card Helpful For Photo Editing? (vs CPU-Motherboard Integrated Graphics)

In particular, for the Intel SandyBridge K series CPUs with the U3000 Integrated Graphics...

For photo-editing, does Photoshop benefit from a computer that has a discrete video card, or do the integrated graphics of a CPU-motherboard meet all the requirements Photoshop needs to display?

For me it depends what you're doing. Of course with a video card , PS runs smoother. And you could easily import video as well as hardware-accelerated 3d rendering.

I'm photo-editing. I am specifically photo-editing.

I'm not interested in those things. I know the ability to display 3d renderings is highly dependent on graphics processing.
