Specific Is there any hope for this one?

A friend has asked me to put together pictures to use for table numbers at her upcoming wedding and would like to use this one, but of course the guy she is with is not who she is marrying (some 12 years on!) With my limited skills and even more limited imagination, I am not coming up with a way to remove the gentleman and leave a attractive picture - any suggestions? Sorry also that it is a poor quality image to start with!

Thank you! Yes, that could work, although I had been thinking in terms of more than just head and shoulders (may be wishful thinking!) Also I probably should have mentioned that the end result has to fit portrait-oriented space 2.75" x 3.5" but this could be cropped to fit.
