Is it possible to convert a face image into vector?

I have a picture of a persons face that I want to change to a black and white vector image. Is it possible to do it with Photoshop CS5?

To my knowledge, you have to create vector lines if you want to eliminate the pixels altogether. This would be best achieved using the pen tool and tracing the important lines. Using crosshatch and such for shadow.

Import image to Illustrator > Click Trace Image with 1 of the better photo realism options. Depending on spec of computer anywhere between 10 seconds and 1 min you will have a vector version of any photo.
