3D is it essential to have photoshop extended for 3d

hi guy i was going to purchase
Photoshop, i just want to ask whether
it's good idea to have extended for 3D?
or faking 3D would be enough even for commercial
projects?

mmm There is faking it and really faking it honestly in my opinion if it is commercial usage photoshop is not the way to go but then that also depends on what your looking to produce adobe themselves in the next versions of cs7 {guessing that is the next release name} have finally handed the 3d work over to the big boys in 3d and it now comes with built in cineware cinema 4d integrated with after effects and I believe there will be options for photoshop as well.

But if your just after simple 3d shapes it is better to have the extended version as it also deals with the lighting and shading with texture fixing a big time saver rather than manually doing it all yourself.

I prefer the free version for using and work on with 3D, also the purpose of professional. Extended versions are helpful for making design with Adobe Photoshop.
