Hello California David I like your thinking we are now in an era where digital has made home editing so much easier and more people want to get creative. I am sure you will learn plenty here and if you want any ideas on how to spruce up your photos my advice is if your not shy and they contain no nudity (has to be said) Post a couple and let our members go to town on them some you will like some you wont. We often get request to make a photo better and we have fullfilled them very well however if you want to learn things for yourself you will find a lot more advice is given from our members.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the warm welcome to the site!

I should have stated that I am new to Photoshop (CS5) and DSLR. My setup is the Canon 50d with the stock 28-135mm a Tokina 12-24mm lens and also have a Pansonic Lumix HD AVCHD lite. I am researching lenses and really like the 24-70mm L lens among a few others.

I do have a few photographs from a recent trip to Yosemite that I wouldn't mind having looked at but for the most part, I would like to read the forums and learn all the different aspects of editing the photographs myself. I'll probably put my foot in my mouth with that last statement lol.
