The design is solid, except for the shadow from the cup. Its bending over the edge of the table, which is unnatural.

I would try playing with the tints and shades, see if you can bring up the contrast. Right now the apart from the white, the elements are blending into one another a little too much because the colours are too similar, but overall I like it. Keep developing it :)
 
Love the design. Aside from the cup shadow, are you able to use gradients in the shadows or would this be a waste on an icon that's usually viewed very small?
 
Thanks for all the feedback guy's....

I've added some colour to the app design and the shadow created from the cup is to indicate the cup is on the edge of the table and infront of the lap top.

Sure, but the lighter part of the two-tone table looks like a highlight, which is interfering with the line of the shadow and it's realism. I realise now the cup's saucer is meant to be over the table, but it doesn't appear to be. For this to be more convincing, add another, shorter shadow just under the saucer, or even a few of them graduated away from the saucer.
