Interior Perspective Advice

First, I should preface by saying I'm more of a photographer than a photoshopper. On a recent assignment, I found myself in a particularly tight space. Made the most of it I could with the tools, but I'm still not happy with how it looks. Below is my attempt at adjusting the perspective (original at the bottom). I see that you have changed the perspective of the image to get the carpet ridges align in parallel with the base of the photo. You say you do not like how it looks. Please explain why and we can deal with it.

Yeah, I shifted the perspective by setting my keystone points (in Capture One Pro) on the back wall. It feels better that way but the shift in perspective makes the desk in the foreground look HUGE in comparison to the chairs in the background.
 
So I ended up clipping out the desk in the foreground, stretched the rest of the image to better match the size, masked/blended, and then smooshed back down to an 8x12 ratio.
