Info wanted about ebook covers.

I have recently purchased Photoshop CS5 and discovered an action panel that makes ebooks. I don't seem able to find any proper instructions on how to create an ebook cover. There are videos on Youtube but they are very obscure and difficult to follow. There must be some written instructions somewhere on line. I even checked with Lynda.com but without purchasing every course it would be hit and miss. Thanks for reading guys.
 
What set of actions are you using?

I have found the best to be Cover Action Pro, and they come with templates you can customize.

If you are using a different set of actions then it would depend on which ones....
