Is there a way to have the palette names horizontally, instead of vertically, because the person who come up with this idea quite obviously didn't sleep well the night before.? ?[confused]

I'll be able to answer this tomorrow Gaussian. I'm going to dinner tonight with a friend who has CS2 on his machine. I have CS. I know that the pallets are customizable in Illustartor CS2 into a 'task' / 'job info' bar, but I have no clue about In Design. I think that the 'POP- IN and OUT' from the side, is a good idea. especially for 2-page spread work and imposing. How would you have that feature with horizontal text? Unless you docked at the bottom.

I don't mind the pop-in-out ronmatt, because that's just a matter of pressing shift+tab like in Photoshop/Illustrator or F4 in Dreamweaver, but what I do mind are the vertical palette descriptions; I'm constantly turning my head to read what it says and everybody around here asks me why I have my left ear on my shoulder all the time.? :D

Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, none of these programs use vertical descriptions and in my opinion this was done for an obvious reason.

So if your friend knows of a way to change this, that would be great!? ;)

grab the individual tabs and pull them out and they become floating pallettes as in ver 2 then name the workspace. You make them go away the old fashion way 'tab' screenshot is CS but it works the same in CS2
