Hello all,

I am new here and in need of some help for a project.

I would like to have to hand:

Over lap like this: (This is my best attempt but I need it to be smooth around the edges like the original image)

Rough draft.jpg

As in the photo would be perfect just with smooth edges, and if the photo could be black that would be great!!

If somone could do this for me it would really help me out..I am still learning but this seems to be kind of hard.
I also have CS6 if that matters.

Thank you!

Here you go.

You're probably just after a quick fix for whatever reason and couldn't actually care less about learning the software. However if by some chance you are actually interested in learning and doing things yourself, let me know and I can walk you through it.

Im very sorry if i came across like I am just useing you guys.. This was a personal project that I have been trying to work on, and I did need it done soon. In a way I did need a quick fix because I really could not figure it out.

I've been useing CS6 for a little while, much of which just messing with colors and fooling around with layers. I tried pen-tooling this but I got frustrated very quickly. I do take interest in CS6, and would love to know how todo this in the future. If you could explain your process, I would to hear it! Thank you for understanding, and taking the time to help me!

It was fairly simple actually. I used the magic wand to select the white areas of the image and deleted them.

I then inverted the colors of the image (ctrl/cmd + i) and created a new layer for the background (black layer).

I duplicated the layer of the hands and transformed it horizontally and getting it into position.

At the moment we have a lot of unnecessary intersecting lines that wouldn't be there if they were actually overlapping. I corrected this by applying a layer mask to the lower hand and used the brush to erase the unwanted lines.

That's it!

Here's a slight variation to the idea. I used the Pen tool to fill in the outline. Magic wand to remove everything outside the outline. Copy. Flip Horizontal. Move. Add a new BG color. Add a drop shadow to top hand.

Much more simpliar than I thought.. Thank you both for taking time to do this, both look, and will work perfectly.

I will be making my own attempt to see what I can do!
