Improving colour of photographs?

I have two photographs. One is full of rich colour, but the other seems to possess a more tungsten effect. Please see below.

Photo 1

Photo 2

Both photographs were taken at the same time in the same outdoor location.

I think my Casio Exilim digital camera must have tweaked its own automatic settings.

I now hope to correct this, if possible, using Photoshop CS3.

Question
- Would it be possible to make the second photograph look more like the first, in terms of colour-balance?
- Is there any way that I could add a layer, or a mask, so as to correct the dis-colouration caused by my silly digital camera?

I would be very grateful for any tips or advice that anyone might be so kind as to provide.

I look forward to any replies. Thank you.

Image->Adjustment->Match Color works perfect in your case.

BTW, you really want to make the second photograph look more like the first, not the vice versa?

To me, the first one is looking wrong. Anyway that is your decision:)

Thank you for such a speedy reply!

Yes, you are absolutely right. I meant to refer to the photographs in the opposite order. My bad. I have now switched the photos around on my server. They should now appear in the correct order in the opening post, above.

Thank you for suggesting the 'Match Colour' option. I have never tried this before. I will give it a test and report back! :)

Thank you.

'Colour Match' works really well! (With just one small snag!)

Photo 2, before

Photo 2, after

The only small problem is that the process seems to have made the true-white colour of the shirt look a little cream in the 'after' photograph.

I don't know why it has done this, as the pure white shirt was still pure white in the 'Photo 1' 'source' photograph.

Would it be possible to perform the 'colour match' over just a specific area of the target photograph? Or ask it to just leave pure whites as just white?

What do you think?
