Hi All
I am new here, I am experienced with Actions, Droplets and automation but not really experienced at designing scripts.
I am running CS6.
I could do with a hand, I am doing some green screening (Acutally quite a bit) and often people want to see their image with different backgrounds so they can choose the one they like.
Sometimes with group photos at events, different people in the group want different backgrounds.
No problem, but it needs to be fast.
One way to speed up the process is to import a photoshop document with the backgrounds already 'layered-up'.
Currently I use the 'Place' command then have to allign and slightly expand to ensure a slight bleed.
Its a bit slow if I want to do 5-6 backgrounds, clients dont want to wait.
In a search I found a "script import_layer_to_current_document", but I cant find it now.
I was also looking to hard code the file / path name of the file to import, I tried fiddling with it, but I didnt get anywhere.
I know its probably trivial to most of you, but can anyone help.
The path of the file I want to import the layer off is 'C:\Green_Screen_Backgrounds\FAVS\landscape_backgrounds.psd".
The different backgrounds are already in a group, whose layer name is 'Group 1'.
So, All I need to do is to import the layer 'Group 1' as a layer without having to take the time to open the Photoshop Document and Hey-Presto its all go !!
Unless anyone has a better idea on a very fast way to do this ?
Can anyone help ?
Bruce
