I have imageready CS2, my puter wants to crash when I start to redo images? For instance I open a image, and click on new layer and bam, computer shuts off, what am I doing wrong? thanks

If you have windows, then go to control panel/system/advanced/Startup and recovery and uncheck the box that reads Automatically restart. Btw, I find it totally unexplainable why Micorosoft turned that off by default, it leaves the user totally clueless about what happened.

Then start Imageready again and this time the computer shouldn't restart and give you the blue eror screen instead; report back with the error message (quite often it mentions something about a system file)

I tried that, so I open imageready, clicked on image, than clicked on new layer boom my puter went dead. I don't know it justs shut off.

Are you 100% sure that this box is not checked? That's because I've never seen a PC turn off by starting a progam, unless a shutdown command was executed or when the PC ran out of "juice" and this is based on my experience as a system administrator for many years.
Does this only happen to ImageReady or do you have other strange behavior on your PC? Have you scanned your PC with a good virusscanner? (Kasperksy, AVK, AntiVir)

I went back and checked and it was unchecked. I started up imageready, went to open image, then went to new layer started to click okay went dead. once back awhile elements 5.0 did same thing crash.
