hi all,

i have a photo that was taken by a photographer so it is very large. I want it as a Facebook Cover for my business page but when i try to make it fit the required height and width is is either to small or if i change the image size or canvas size it doesn't look right...

Wondering if there was someone who may be able to help me?

Thanks,
Ben

that is a live feed as facebook update their resolutions so does that page so that you know what to aim your image size at.

Be aware it is best to have an image at the exact resolution and image size stated as if it is slightly off then facebook compression on top of resizing will make the image look horrible.

Thanks!

I have the right canvas size but the image is very large that I want to use so no matter how big or small I make it the image looks wrong. I've attached what I mean :)

When I make the image smaller it fits height ways but width it doesn't and if I make the image big enough to fir the whole timeline canvas it looks as though it has zoomed in? If that makes sense?

Ben

you will have to do a drastic crop on top and bottom of that. if you want best results I would advise create a new document with facenook resolution and crop most of the vertical of that image and then drag it to the new canvas and try content aware scale tool to see if you can get a better scale fit.

Unfortunately you need to crop the image to be more of the same aspect ratio of facebook cover image first to get a good result.
