Hey guys, is there a feature on Photoshop that will allow me to adjust an image, a layer, or a set of text to the exact center of an image or blank slate by pixel? I've been trying to look for such a feature and it's been bugging me that I haven't been able to find it so far. Anybody know what I'm talking about? If you aren't sure, then try to throw some suggestions of what I may be trying to look for. Thanks.

Thanks, that did help a lot. However, do you know of a feature where you can enter pixel dimensions to adjust layers or images to the center?

Bump.

I also want to ask if there's an option to center the text vertically and horizontally, automatically would be good, within the textbox for PhotoShop?

Try this...
Select - All (ctrl/a)
Layer - Align Layers To Selection - Vertical Centers
Layer - Align Layers To Selection - Horizontal Centers

View>Show>SmartGuides

uhhhhh........mmmmm...... would the smart guide be a vertical line which appears/disappears as I move the layer?

I have some sections of text in a poster I would like to center and would really like to understand how to center (left-right) layers.
thank you.
