My Image disappears when I click on it using either clone or crop tools - when I right click and select "dont crop" the images re-appear.
Using a brand new pc and cs5.

New to this forum - any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am have the same issue in CS5. I read on another board that if you are showing "1 pixel" in the width column, clear it and the problem will go away. That is not the case in my situation however. My width column is clear. I hope that some kind & knowledgeable sole answers your question with a solution other than the "1 pixel" in the width column business.

I found an answer that seems to work. "Close Photoshop CS5. Then restart it while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep holding down the keys till a window appears asking if you want to delete the settings file. Permit to delete by selecting yes."

i was a little hesitant to do the control + shift+ alt thing, having just got a new laptop and just got cs6 for it, but finding this completely annoying issue happening while editing wedding photos was just too much, it actually works!
thank you!

That is how you reset preferences Ria. The only negative ting it might do is that after you're familiar with Photoshop, you might edit some preferences and it will go back to the default. But this is one of the things that is standard to try when Photoshop is not acting right.
