I'm unable to go through step 5, When I try that, It says Warning no pixels were selected. I think the writer of it is so Dumb he didn't care about Beginners

Writing tutes is tough. I'd say it is likely where the directions became confused in this one was saving the initial alpha channel. He says fill it with white. That instruction didn't make sense to me. I'd have said once you have your apple path drawn, go to the bottom of the Paths palette and click on the button at the bottom which says 'Load path as selection' (when your cursor hovers over it) then go to the Channels palette and click on the little button at the bottom which says 'Save selection as channel'. I'm sure you realize the first alpha channel that you save is just the selection outline of the apple. It should look something like this...

Well i think the writer of this tutorial isn,t so dumb afterall. You should read better and not give up so quick the tutorial isn,t that hard you just skipped a step.....

Try to find out yourself and learn something. If you really can't find out i will help you and i'm no real pro either just don't give in
